Located in Niagara County New York
The Oppenheim Zoo was incorporated in 1943, and opened its doors to the public in 1947. Sadly out of date and in need of repair and massive upgrading, the zoo closed its doors to the general public in 1988 and is currently building support and generating plans to reopen as a working, public zoo.

Located in the Town of Wheatfield, in the western part of New York State, this website will build the vision for the new zoo, and keep you informed about the progress of building a new zoo. Thanks for visiting.
